If it looks like a Cagoul, and feels like a Cagoul, then is it just a conventional Cagoul ?
The main body of the product appears to be a single layer with a waxy, slightly sticky feel to the inside. It feels like a conventional Cagoule material.

I cannot see the "3 layer fabric with membrane technology for total breathability & waterproofing"

It seems to have completely conventional zips. The product description states....

"We have fitted modern, concealed, snap-down zips which are semi-automatic - they will not slip up or down on their own once the zip puller is fully locked in an up or down position."

I found that the zip moves up or down whatever position the puller is in. It does not appear to make a difference to the force required to move it.
However, the zip does stay were you put it.

On a cool but sunny day I went for a 7-8 mile cycle ride. I wore a wicking T shirt and this jacket. Breathability was the main problem. Where the jacket material directly touched my arms was particularly bad.
The zip up...

Awesome
Bought this as a wind break and light shower jacket. The fit is a little looser than I was expecting, (I'm a 44" chest and bought the XL) but I actually quite like the airiness the larger fit gives. As a wind break the jacket is very good. Someone, despite its appearance it does actually allow airflow so I have experienced little additional sweating from wearing it. I've have also been lucky enough to have been caught in three heavy showers in the past two weeks and it manages to repel most of the water too (unlike my shoes). All in all I'm very happy with it -- only gripe is the elasticated sleeves look a bit cheap (like those on a pac-a-mac).
