just what i was after!
After searching for an affordable waterproof coat for use hiking and the odd rainy day out and about, I decided on this one in red (easily visible).

It has met every expectation, surviving downpours in the mountains, rainy days shopping in the city, and showers in the forest when walking. It has never seemed too warm (although it does help retain heat when the weather is colder, it should really be used with a fleece for temperatures bellow say 10*c), and is slightly longer then a lot of other coats so it covers the top part of your thighs, ensuring good covering when used with over-trousers. The wired hood works perfectly, is easily adjustable, is light, and folds easily in and out of the collar.

I have two gripes with this coat, although both are minor.

Fantastic product
This jacket does what it says on the tin.Previously had Berghaus,Helly Hansen jackets. This is as good if not better! Windproof,warm,if worn with fleece very warm! Hood excellent and does not blow down even on windswept Scottish beaches. I use this jacket regularly when dog walking. Would definitely recommend and would buy again.
